  1. Wow! Amazing! Congrats to Cheptegei and also to Uganda for their successful running program.

  2. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 A big congrats to Joshua.🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬

  3. Cant really understand the role of the pacemakers. When I run a race, Ive trained myself for completing that race in a determined time, Ive established the exact pace for each segment of the race and I meet at the race with others just to complete the task that Ive given myself. I dont mind if others run faster or slower or whatsoever. I keep an eye to my 2 sportwatches connected with my two chestbands and simply run the way I intended when I started training 6 months before the race.

  4. setting x2 speed, watch race in 1 minute and setting to x1 speed. => everything look like slow motion. Too slow

  5. Here are some of the biggest box office bombs that somehow became cult classics:

  6. This is basically my pace i could do over exactly 100 meters sprint when i was in high school. I wasnt really in shape back then, but its insane if you think about it. 23 kph average over 10 kilometers, a lot of people even dont manage that on a bike.

    1. @Andare Cinem I really dont lie. I actually know quite a lot of people (some of them are older, yes) that dont manage average 23kph that speed on 10k on a bike without electric aids. They can do longer bikerides, but no short distances at that speed.

    2. Don´t lie. I do 20 minutes and 38 seconds on my bike for the 10 kilometers and Im like the laziest man in the world. Also my bike is not made for speed if it were I would cut down the time, probably to sub 19.

  7. Joshua keep going keep Uganda on top 💪💪💪💪💪🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬we are so proud of you go Joshua goooooooooooooooo🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

  8. bekele el mejor en pista, siempre llegarán mejores, bekele en sus vídeos volaba en sus cierres con km de 2.25, veo muy relajado ah joshua en sus cierres, le falta ese cierre mortal

  9. Incredible,i monitored your steps all the way…keep it up Joshua

  10. Perhaps the next question should be asked: With all the great performances coming from this continent, will Africa ever host an Olympics? Are they even willing to make it happen? Ive watched every Olympics since 1972 ..Of the Five Rings in the Olympic logo, they are the only one left that hasnt hosted the Games. Even as I wonder if any African country would host the track & field World Championships? Youre hard pressed to find that topic being questioned at any forum on social media

  11. The announcer is losing his voice and is out of tune specially at the last 100 meters,,,,, hahaha!

  12. i had thought there was a good chance of a sub-two hour marathon by kipchoge or an ethiopian this year, but fate had other ideas. if they dont hurry up and break it soon, cheptegei seems on track to do it later in his career.

  13. In the home stretch of his 10k , I stopped the video when the clock shown 25:59 and at that point Joshua was approx 80 meters from the finish!! That magical barrier is so close! Perhaps itll take two years to bust it! Chep had run just a few races this year, two or three. His times coming in this season were good but to chop OVER 30 secs off his p.b. is mind boggling !!!

  15. Congrats to Joshua. Am proud to be Ugandan 🇺🇬🇺🇬 Oliotya 12:08

  16. This is incredible. If Arturo Barrios had run in this race with his 10 k WR of 27:08, he would have to run one more lap.. When Barrios did his record, if Im not mistaken, in 1991, there wasnt the technology I can see here; the colored leds that help the athlete achieve the record and the new technology trainers. Two points in favour of Cheptegei; I guess he can improve this record because he did it almost alone without the company of a crowded stadium. That must be applauded.

  17. Joshua Cheptegei now holds the 5K and 10K road record as well as the 5K and 10K track record. Complete dominance.

  18. That was of the commentators

  19. Want to see him run a Half Marathon he would smash the record he can run these times at lesser distance.

  20. Mwebale ba mikwano mukumye bendera yaffe nga eri high 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🙌🙌. Abitegedde like hia

  21. Kenenisa is Ethiopian – and we all know about Ethiopia, doping, and the non-existent testing – and now Cheptegei has effortlessly taken six seconds off the record while supposedly being clean. How can anyone get excited about this sport? Its as bad as cycling.

  22. Upon doing a little investigation, I would qualify my earlier remarks. Bekele never had multi-layer carbon plated shoes. This is a huge advantage. Acts as a springboard. Let Cheptegei beat the record wearing comparable shoes, otherwise, his record should appear with an asterisk. I dont care so much about the disco lights, but the shoes are light years ahead of anything runners had in Bekeles time.

  23. does anyone know any of the songs being played in the background during the race?

  24. Commentator: “He has roared with the heart of an African lion!”

  25. Unbelievable…a little sad as he broke my hero’s record 😢

  26. They should have had fire works go off when he crossed the finish line.

  27. yap, so proud for my brother from Masaka City. COGZ UGGG

  28. Jesus Christ! I wonder what such beings do feed on! Ohhh God !

  29. We are sooooo proud of you, that was absolutely beautiful to watch. Thank you for flying our flag high 🇺🇬🇺🇬 absolutely beautiful

  30. Lol I hardly complete 1600 in 5:50 second but for them its just a normal 😁

  31. Gonna do a 5k today. 13.07, man thats a bit slow, just do another 13.04? thats more like it

  32. Queria muito esse recordista mundial dos 10 mil .metros correndo na são silvestre de São Paulo.

  33. My lungs are toasted from watching this holy shit this guy is a beast.

  34. This is unbelievable. I never thought Bekeles record would ever fall. Never. In fact, the runners of Mo Farahs era seemed to be getting slower if anything. This dude just smashed it. What can one say? Words cannot begin to describe it.

  35. You know, you know, you know…..damn what a crappy commentator 🙁

  36. มึงปอดเหล็กรึไงวะ

  37. Wooooow ❤️❤️❤️💃💃💃💃

  38. I must say this is a BIG ADVANTAGE because the records previously would have been crazy if they had this LIGHT THING PACE advantage. Kenenisa Bekele and Haile Gebrselassie wouldve have crazy times if they had this. Dont get me wrong Joshua Cheptegei is good but he wasnt near those times until he got this advantage!

  39. Great commentators. Imagine how much practice goes into having perfectly even (and very fast) pace for the whole race. Only the last 400 was not between 62.9 and 63.8. Wow.

  40. Still proud of my 33:29 but this guy is just from another world.

  41. The 157 people who did not like this video have never ran. Watching this is to live at the same time as a Legendary Hero.

  42. This commentator is amazing. Ive heard him on other races and he is incredible and so knowledgeable. I wish American commentators of distance events were this good, but they are terrible in comparison.

  43. This guy is going to finish his career as the greatest long distance track runner

  44. This guy sprints for 10000 meters lol I can even keep that pace for a 1000 meters

  45. I can easily beat him.

Only if his legs are tied up with a string…

  46. Fun Fact: Joshua Cheptegai caught covid-19 during this race and it actually slowed him down by ten seconds 😳

  47. Who is that people that has Pace 1, Pace 2 and Pace 3 in the race? Also, amazing Cheptegei.

  48. Acredito que não é somente treino físico é mental também.

  49. Track fan for many years, seen the likes of Kip Keno, Sebastian Coe,and now Cheptegei, absolutely phenomenal performance.

  50. I dont understand how this is possible. I cant run ONE lap under 63 seconds!

  51. Phenomenal but all I can think is pain!! Attempting 10k PBs are hell on earth 😂

  52. I REALLY appreciate the way the commentator referred to distance running as our sport; made me feel good about the sport, even though Im slow🐢! 😊 Waitaminute…is he DOUBLE lapping the other runners!?!?😃GOOD GRIEF, MAN! WHAT GOD-BLESSED speed and endurance!😅 WOW!❤🙌🏾🏃🏿‍♂️⚡⚡⚡⚡🔥

  53. Incredible incredible incredible!! 👏👏👏

  54. It’s actually amazing…. I’m proud if I can do a 5min/km th

  55. Bekele must be proud of it..A fantastic performance..
